We are pleased to be co-sponsoring a PhD student at the University of Surrey, donating £18,500 per year over the next three years. The University has been able to recruit an exceptional student called Deotima Das who is looking into whether the subtle changes in the heart’s rhythm, tiny electrical altercations, could reveal the beginning of Parkinson’s long before the brain’s damage becomes irreversible. This is exciting, innovative and progressive research. We shall be following Deotima’s work with great interest.
