London Marathon 2027

To date, our brilliantly enthusiastic volunteers have organised or participated in a number of activities raising funds for the charity.

These include:

Three Peaks Challenge

Well what a challenge this turned out to be! Despite extremely adverse weather conditions of snow, fog, gale force winds and torrential rain, the intrepid team of eight brave souls all successfully completed The Three Peaks Challenge of Ben Nevis, Scarfell Pike and Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon) with the able assistance of their two minibus drivers. A real achievement and huge congratulations for braving the heights and the elements and a massive thank you to everyone who donated to help the team raise a phenomenal total of £9,456.50 for the charity. Respect!!

Eddie's Marathon

Breedy, you’re a star! Thank you so much for completing your first ever marathon having had to give up many of life’s little pleasures along with lots of extremely hard training and some very tough moments along the way to raise over five times your target - an amazing £2,606.37! We are incredibly grateful and so proud of your achievement! Also, a huge thank you to everyone who donated and supported Eddie on his run. He said it made a real difference on the day to get him over that finish line!

The Cake Sale

Sienna (7) and Ossian (5) decided they would like to hold a cake sale to raise money for people living with Parkinson’s in memory of Taidy, their grandad. They raised an amazing £239.40 and had a wonderful time selling their homemade cakes and drinks.

Nia's Marathon

A huge thank you goes to the lovely Nia for completing her first half marathon, far exceeding her £400 target and raising a whopping £1,150 plus Gift Aid money! We are very grateful to Nia and to everyone who so kindly supported her.

Mad Hatter's Tea Party

Set up to launch the charity in July 2024, the event was a great success and included auctions of a signed Bath rugby shirt, Finn Russell rugby boots and West End theatre tickets and raised an amazing £7,777 – all the 7’s, a very lucky start for the charity! This money also helped to fund the Parkinson’s UK Nurse Appeal.

Bike Ride to Bruges

Our very first fundraiser, over the May 2024 bank holiday weekend, where five close friends of the family cycled an incredible 292 miles from London to Bruges - all within just 48 hours! Their only rest came aboard the overnight ferry from Harwich to the Hook of Holland, before jumping straight back on the bikes. They all made it (with a few sore bums to show for it) and raised an amazing £5,260 in the process, which went to help fund the Parkinson’s UK Nurse Appeal.

If you have any novel ideas, big or small, for future fundraising we’d be delighted to hear from you!
