Fundraising Activities

London Marathon 2027
To date, our brilliantly enthusiastic volunteers have organised or participated in a number of activities raising funds for the charity.
These include:

Bike Ride to Bruges
Our very first fundraiser, over the May 2024 bank holiday weekend, where five close friends of the family cycled an incredible 292 miles from London to Bruges - all within just 48 hours! Their only rest came aboard the overnight ferry from Harwich to the Hook of Holland, before jumping straight back on the bikes. They all made it (with a few sore bums to show for it) and raised an amazing £5,260 in the process, which went to help fund the Parkinson’s UK Nurse Appeal.

Mad Hatter's Tea Party
Set up to launch the charity in July 2024, the event was a great success and included auctions of a signed Bath rugby shirt, Finn Russell rugby boots and West End theatre tickets and raised an amazing £7,777 – all the 7’s, a very lucky start for the charity! This money also helped to fund the Parkinson’s UK Nurse Appeal.

Nia's Marathon
A huge thank you goes to the lovely Nia for completing her first half marathon, far exceeding her £400 target and raising a whopping £1,150 plus Gift Aid money! We are very grateful to Nia and to everyone who so kindly supported her.

The Cake Sale
Sienna (7) and Ossian (5) decided they would like to hold a cake sale to raise money for people living with Parkinson’s in memory of Taidy, their grandad. They raised an amazing £239.40 and had a wonderful time selling their homemade cakes and drinks.
